NTMC provides legitimate espionage facilities and communications intel to other government agencies. It is also responsible for arranging electronic media surveillance for other government agencies.
Kamal said law and order in Bangladesh was “stable” as the government was taking effective intelligence-based steps to prevent communalism, extremism and anti-state conspiracies.
To this he said in Parliament, the government monitors the published content, and does not infringe on the privacy of citizens.
