Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mohammad Shahab Uddin said on Monday that Bangladesh needs US$ 373 billion over the next 27 years to implement its National Adaptation Plan (NAP), in the form of new and additional finance. The year covers US$ 8.5 billion.
“For full implementation of Bangladesh’s (Nationally Determined Contribution) NDC targets, it needs US$143 billion from international support… We also need to ensure easy and quick access to climate finance,” he said. Ministerial meeting held at Agtveds Pakhus in Copenhagen, Denmark, as previously reported to Copenhagen Climate.
