Bangladesh, New Zealand to rest key players before World Cup

Veteran opener Tamim Iqbal also returned after his retirement U-turn and missing the recent Asia Cup due to injury.

Bangladesh failed to reach the Asia Cup final but ended the tournament on a high note by defeating eventual winners India in their last match.

The second and third ODIs will be held on the same ground on 23 and 26 September.

This will be the last series of both the teams before the World Cup starts in India on October 5.
