The countries with the strongest passports in the 2024 index include France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore and Spain. Passport holders of these countries can travel to 194 countries without advance visa. Singapore, which topped last year’s index, is now tied in the lead with Finland, South Korea and Sweden, whose passport holders are able to visit 193 countries without an advance visa.
According to a report by Henley & Partners, Sri Lanka is ranked 96th in the passport index, just ahead of Bangladesh. After this, Nepal, Libya and Palestine are at 98th place. India is ranked 80th, whose passport holders can travel to 62 countries without an advance visa. However, Bangladesh overtook Pakistan, which is ranked 101st. Despite this, being ahead of Pakistan cannot be seen as a sufficient sign of progress.
