The government is setting up an inter-ministerial committee to fight propaganda at home and abroad.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen announced the decision on Monday after a meeting with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Law Minister Anisul Haque. Inspector General of Police Abdullah al-Mamun and senior officers of the force were also present.
Momen said that the foreigner had such a committee earlier. Now involving representatives of Home and Law Ministries will strengthen its activities. The Director General of United Nations Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs will head the committee.
The External Affairs Minister said that the committee will look into the good news along with the propaganda. “Nothing specific will happen, just propaganda.”
