Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has sought “visible Indian cooperation” to import hydropower from Nepal and Bhutan, UNB reports.
He attended a bilateral meeting on power cooperation between Bangladesh and India in New Delhi on Wednesday.
In the meeting, Nasrul led the Bangladesh delegation and Power, New and Renewable Energy Minister Raj Kumar Singh led the Indian side, the power department said in a statement.
The meeting also discussed the interest of Indian private companies in exporting renewable energy to Bangladesh.
