Bangladesh women clinch series against Pakistan with historic win

After losing the toss, Bangladesh’s openers gave a fast start, but Shamima Sultana was out after scoring 18 runs at the score of 31 runs in the fifth over. Shamima hit two fours and a six in her innings of 13 balls.

One-down Shobhana Mosteri kept the pace going with 16 off 11, but opener Murshida Khatoon and captain Nigar Sultana were slow and the pair added just 13 runs off 25 balls. Murshida was out after scoring 28 runs and Nigar after scoring 10 runs and the hosts were reduced to 71-4 in 13 overs.

But Shorna Akter remained unbeaten on 27 runs in 22 balls and Ritu Moni scored 19 runs in 21 balls to help Bangladesh score 120-6.
