At that time Mohammed Moin’s father Shamsul Islam was known as ‘Somru Master’ in Sylhet. So, Mohd Moeen registered his company as Somru Bioscience Inc in 2012 and started his startup journey with only 100,000 UDS. In that beginning, the company operated from a location at the Incubation Center of the Provisional National Research Council of Canada, but it established a research laboratory on its own land.
Currently, Somru Bioscience employs 50 specialists and employees, while Mohammad Moeen’s wife Dihan Ahsan and his sister-in-law Clarinda Islam are involved in the company’s operations.
