Bangladeshi man shot dead at India border in Sylhet

“I was told that certain [Khasi, members of an ethnic community in India] shot him,” he said.

Later, doctors declared Salam brought dead when he was taken to the Jaitapur sub-district health complex.

Dastgir said the police have identified bullet wounds on Salam’s head and back.

“The body was shifted to the morgue of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” the police officer said.
