Bangladeshi Students to get electronic text books

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed hope that students of the country will get electronic text book from the government instead of paper text book soon. Present government came to power by promising to make a digital nation. Many analysts questioned that what is meant by digital Bangladesh. After taking power the government tried to use information technology extensively, so that people can enjoy a better life. Locally assembled low cost laptop computer was brought to the market by the state owned organization Telephone Shilpa Shangastha.

National Curriculum and Textbook Board made electronic version of all school level books. Now anyone can download those books from the web site.

The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now hoping to provide all of those books in a single device and the students will carry that device instead of paper books. But she didn’t mention specifically when this dream will be true.
