The PP told Prothom Alo that the anti-corruption watchdog is investigating Sheikh Abdul Hai Bachchu and his family members on charges of amassing assets beyond declared sources.
They filed a petition in the court, seeking an order to seize the properties of the former chairman and four of his family members – his wife Shireen Akhtar, son Sheikh Sabid Hai, daughter Sheikh Rafa Hai and brother Sheikh Shahryar. The court heard the petition and passed the order on Wednesday.
