Presiding officer Rabiul Islam expressed his helplessness to journalists over the incident, eyewitnesses said.
After the counting of votes, the presiding officer said that a total of 453 votes were cast at the center against 2479 votes. Boat got 432 votes while five other voters got 21 votes each. Nine votes were declared invalid.
