The Jugantor report said the expiry date of the renewed passport was October 13, 2015. Before the expiry, he had got his passport renewed as a private sector service holder.

RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed renewed her passport once again in 2016 as a private sector service holder. However, the passport office objected to it at that time. They also sent a letter to the RAB headquarters. In response, Additional Director General (Administration) Abdul Jalil Mandal sent a letter requesting that Benazir's passport be issued immediately. Benazir was given her passport within 24 hours. Passport office staff visited her home to take her photo and fingerprints for this purpose.

When asked if Benazir Ahmed's getting a passport as a private service holder was a violation of rules, Public Service Rules expert Feroz Mia said that it is a concealment of information which is an offence according to the Public Service Rules and is a criminal offence. A case can be filed against both the person who issued the passport and the person who issued the passport. There is also scope for filing a case and departmental action against those who are still in service.

Jugantor's reporter said that the passport office has not sent any reply to the report published in the newspaper. Therefore, it can be assumed that there is no discrepancy in the report.
