Biswa Ijtema (A gathering of muslims for special prayers and preaching) will begin from 13 January next year. This is usually held on the bank of the river Turag at Tongi.
Due to increased devotees and lack of accommodation this time the Ijtema will be held in two phases three days each. Devotees come from home and abroad.
The 2nd phase of the three-day Ijtema will begin at the same place on 20 January next year.
The last day in the three day Ijtema has special prayer (the akheri munajat) for the Islamic umma and for the world peace.
Preparation is undergoing to conduct the Ijtema.
