The BNP on Wednesday briefed foreign diplomats posted in Dhaka about the latest political situation in the country and the “attacks” on their sit-in program at the entrance gates of the capital, among other issues.
BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and senior party leaders conveyed the party’s comments to diplomats in a closed-door meeting at a city hotel in the afternoon.
Diplomats from about 25 countries, including the US, Britain, the European Union, Germany, China and Russia, participated in the meeting that began at around 4 pm.
Besides Fakhrul, the meeting was attended by BNP Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan and Amir Khosru Mahmood Chowdhury, among others.
