Nazrul Islam said the Prime Minister expressed his desire to speak to the BNP-Jamaat representatives as he saw them protesting outside the hotel amid cold and rain when they came to attend the civic reception.
He quoted the prime minister as saying, “What does he want to say? Let him come here and do it.”
The Prime Minister’s PS-II and an official from the local Bangladesh mission went to invite the protesters to the hotel after obtaining permission from the Prime Minister.
