He asked the lawyers to take prompt steps for speedy disposal of cases related to arson terrorism in the name of the movement during 2013-15, when more than 500 people, including 29 police personnel, were killed and 3,225 people sustained injuries.

He said, if they are not punished for their misdeeds then they will be encouraged. He said that many of those who were underground are now taking advantage of his movement and participating in BNP rallies.

He told the lawyers, “BNP-Jamaat people involved in arson terrorism will have to face trial in Bangladesh. Take steps to prosecute them.”

The Prime Minister said that the culprits must be punished, otherwise the culture of impunity will again dominate the country.

He said, “We who have lost our loved ones know very well the pain of losing our people.”
