BNP leader finally reaches Naya Paltan office, accuses police of sabotage

The party, however, denied the allegation saying that the police had taken explosives to the office. The clash began amid the party’s scheduled 10 December rally, which eventually took place at Dhaka’s Golabagh Maidan in the presence of thousands of BNP leaders and workers.

Following the clash, hundreds of BNP leaders and workers were arrested, including party general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and senior joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
