BNP leaders hiding themselves amid cases and arrests: A closer look at the current situation

There are more than 600 leaders holding top positions as Presidents/Convenors and General Secretaries/Member Secretaries of BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and Swachhsebak Dal at district and city levels across the country. According to reports sent by Prothom Alo correspondents, 85 leaders holding top positions in various units of the BNP and its three affiliated bodies have already been arrested, 386 leaders are in hiding, while according to local sources, 149 leaders may be They are rarely seen in their area and mostly stay away from home.

Among them, five top leaders of Dhaka City North unit including convener Amanullah Aman and member secretary Aminul Haq, Dhaka City South unit member secretary Rafiqul Islam and acting member secretary Tanveer Hasan and three joint convenors have been arrested, while Jubo Dal general secretary Abdul Monam has been arrested.
