Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is preparing for its October 28 rally in Dhaka ignoring government warnings, mass arrests and cases by police, party leaders said.
BNP leaders said that now their aim is to make the rally a peaceful success and the party will not get involved in any clash as before. Party leaders and workers have been instructed accordingly.
BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called for a road march from the grand rally during the final phase of the party’s one-point movement to oust the government. There is discussion whether the party will take a stand on the streets of Dhaka with this rally.
