The BNP rally started at around 2 pm on Thursday at Mirpur Mafid-e-Aam College campus in Aminbazar.
Party leaders and workers started joining the rally from nearby areas demanding the resignation of the government and holding of next elections under an impartial government.
Earlier this rally was to be held on Monday at the nearby Aminbazar Chishtia filling station.
BNP alleged that the police demolished their rally stage. Later the rally was cancelled. As per the party’s decision, Dhaka District BNP organized a rally at Mirpur Mafid-e-Aam College campus in Aminbazar today.
