The Bangladesh Election Commission announced that a 24-hour strike will begin at the end of the blockade at 6:00 am on Thursday (30 November), the last date for submission of nomination papers, as per the election schedule.
The parties are implementing programs demanding the resignation of the government, holding of the upcoming 12th parliamentary election under a non-partisan government and the release of arrested party leaders, including General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and cessation of harassment of them.
