Hasina, who is the chairperson of the ruling Awami League, delivered her speech from a 160-foot boat-shaped platform.
He said that the opposition BNP has two specialties – rigging votes and killing people. “They know very well that if elections are held, people will not vote for murderers,” she said.
“They (BNP) don’t care about the people. When the Awami League comes to power, we work for the people,” he said.
Referring to the arson violence perpetrated by the BNP during 2013-2015, the PM said that their leaders Khaleda Zia and Tariq Zia will one day have to answer to the people why they killed and burnt innocent civilians by reinstating the arson violence . He said that one day the public will take account of it.
