The Bangladesh Nationalist Party has decided to postpone its mass march to 30 December due to the Awami League rally scheduled for 24 December.
But the party will organize mass processions in other cities and districts across the country on December 24, Nazrul Islam Khan, a member of the BNP’s Standing Committee, said at a media briefing at the BNP’s headquarters in Naya Paltan, Dhaka on Saturday.
He said the BNP resumed the massive procession program following a request by Awami League general secretary Obaidul Kader, who sought a change in plan ahead of the ruling party’s national convention in Dhaka.
