The meeting also discussed future strategic priorities, focusing on strengthening migrant rights through research, awareness-building, advocacy, skills development, service delivery and policy engagement.
According to the announcement, the newly elected advisory committee includes Syed Saiful Haq as chief advisor, Mohammad Nazmul Haq, SM Nazar Hussain, Dr. Afroza Parveen and Mohammad Hasinur Rahman as advisors.
The Central Executive Committee will be led by Riaz Uddin Khan President, Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan First Vice President and Shomita Begum Mira Vice President.
MD Suhrawardy Husain has been elected general secretary, while Utpol Barua and advocate Nasreen Akhtar will serve as joint secretaries.
Other members include Pulok Ranjan Dhar (Finance Secretary), Roshan Ara Lilly (Women Affairs Secretary) and several executive members.
