Chattogram defeated defending champions Comilla Victorians by seven wickets in the first match and lost to Khulna Tigers by four wickets in the second game.
Al-Amin took the wicket of Saif Hasan, before forcing Dhaka’s Sri Lankan Danushka Gunathilaka to retire hurt. But it proved to be a boon for Dhaka who were struggling to get the scoreboard rolling.
As they trailed 33-4, Gunathilaka’s concussion replacement Lasith Kruspule saved them from the final embarrassment by scoring 43 off 31 balls with three fours and two sixes.
Irfan Sukkur along with him scored 27 runs and helped Dhaka cross the 100-run mark. Taskin Ahmed made the other major contribution by scoring 15 runs in 9 balls.
