BRAC Driving School opens new branch in Chattogram

Chattogram’s Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Abdul Mannan Miah, in his speech as the chief guest, emphasized that Bangladesh is facing a shortage of one billion professional drivers. Currently, driving is one of the most sought after professions across the world.

Addressing the graduates of BRAC Driving School Chattogram, he said, “Consider yourself fortunate to have received this training. Respect your profession and try to make a positive impact both within and outside Bangladesh.

The program was also presided over by Ahmed Nazmul Hussain, Director, Road Safety Programme, BRAC. Monzoor-ul-Amin Chowdhury, Adjunct Faculty, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) at Chattogram Independent University and Gashful, Chairman, Salah Uddin Ibne Syed, Deputy Project Director, Comprehensive Rural Development Program (CVDP) Phase III, along with Was present as a special guest in this program.

CVDP is an initiative of the LGRD Ministry designed to provide various skill development training for employment and livelihood in rural areas. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry and BRAC in 2022 paved the way for professional driver training under the third phase of this project.
