Bolsonaro supporters blocked highways and demonstrated in front of army barracks across the country following Lula’s victory in the October 30 presidential election.
Even after almost two months, there are still camps in front of some military bases.
Police said they found a cache of weapons at the apartment of Oliveira Sousa, who works at a service station in the northern state of Pará.
According to the Folha de Sao Paulo, Oliveira Sousa said he was motivated to acquire the weapon “by the words of President Bolsonaro” and had about 160,000 reales ($31,000) in cash.
Bolsonaro, a strong supporter of gun rights, has previously said that “armed people will never be enslaved.”
The newspaper said that according to the statements, Oliveira Sousa had planned to distribute weapons among those camped in front of the barracks.
