British High Commission welcomes returning Chevening and Commonwealth scholars

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cook, congratulated the scholars and said: “The scholarship programs funded by the UK Government reflect the strong partnership between the UK and Bangladesh, based on shared values ​​and mutual respect. All of our scholars have studied at world-class UK universities, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they have in Bangladesh in the years to come.”

In his remarks, Stephen Forbes, Country Director of the British Council Bangladesh, said: “Your academic success and commitment to learning demonstrate your potential to drive real progress in Bangladesh. Staying connected with the Commonwealth and the Chevening Network will strengthen your ability to meet future challenges.”

The reception celebrated a total of 40 Commonwealth and 22 Chevening graduates, along with distinguished alumni.
