He said, “We have taken the initiative to shift the bus terminal from Dhaka to ease the pressure of inter-district buses from the city. Land development work is underway to shift the terminal to Kachchhpur. And there is a bus terminal. It is being built without Keraniganj.”
After the completion of the construction work of the bus terminal in Kachpur, no bus will be parked in Sayeedabad. After this, the passengers will travel to the city by city transport.
He further said that to reduce the traffic jam, the project of widening the Beribabad road to eight lanes from Sluicegate to Postogola bridge at Rayarbazar has been taken up. It was approved in the review committee meeting of the Ministry of Local Government.
