Due to torrential rains, a part of the railway line near Muradpur in Chattogram city has been completely submerged, leading to complete suspension of train services on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar route.

Eight trains run daily on this network, of which two pairs run between Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar, and the other two pairs connect Dhaka with the coastal city.

Confirming the suspension, Chattogram railway station station manager Abu Bakar Siddiqui said services have been stopped as a safety precaution due to water accumulation on the tracks. “Operations will resume when the situation becomes normal.”
