He informed the Chief Advisor that he has interacted with many university students in Bangladesh on Artificial Intelligence and Digitization and praised the talent and potential of young Bangladeshi minds.
During the meeting, Professor Yunus recalled his long-standing relations with China, which began through the microcredit movement.
The Chief Advisor said, “I had the opportunity to visit remote villages in China and see how people’s lives were changing. Later, the Chinese government started its own programs inspired by these principles.”
Recalling his visit to China in March, Professor Yunus said that during the visit he had met President Xi Jinping.
He said, “He told me that he had read my book and followed its principles. That was a very happy moment for me.”
The delegation thanked Professor Yunus and discussed opportunities for cooperation in health, infrastructure and digital sectors.
Highlighting the priorities of the interim government, the Chief Advisor said that health remains a top concern.
