There are 500,000 Christian live in Bangladesh. 400,000 of them are Catholic Christian and 100,000 of them are Protestant Christian. Education ratio among Bangladeshi Christian is 95%. On the other hand, 52% of total Bangladeshi Christians are educated in National level. Christian population is 0.03% of total Bangladeshi population. Aborigine Christian live in Dinazpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong. There are some British-Indian family who live here by marital cause. There are some Christian who still carry the memory of Portuguese. Those people use the name extension like Gomez, De Rosario, Costa, Purification, Paloma etc. Some people changed their religion into Christianity but still use their previous extension like Baroi, Das, Sarkar, Biswas, Pal, Roy, Haldar and Haoladar etc.
