Bellingham has now scored 13 goals in 13 matches for Real Madrid in all competitions.
“He can reach 20 or 25 goals because he has made a very good start,” Ancelotti said.
“In our mind it is not that he is a goalscoring striker, in our mind he is a very important player for us.”
After this strong performance, Barcelona could not believe that the points had slipped out of their hands.
“The summary is simple, we had 60 very good minutes where we scored one goal, they had 20 to 25 minutes and they scored two goals,” coach Xavi said.
“I think Madrid’s win today is unfair… They were much more skilled than us, that’s the big difference.”
Barcelona were boosted by the returns from injury of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde and Raphinha, with Xavi naming them on the bench.
His counterpart Ancelotti once again deployed Bellingham in the number 10 role as he got his first taste of arguably the biggest club football match in the world.
However, it was another midfielder playing for the first time in a Clasico who broke the deadlock – Barcelona’s summer arrival Gundogan.
