West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has congratulated Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its president Tariq Rahman on their landslide victory in the national parliamentary elections in Bangladesh. He expressed his good wishes in a post on social media platform X today, Friday.
This post appeared on Mamata’s X account at around 1 pm Bangladesh time. He wrote, “My hearty greetings to all my brothers and sisters, all the people of Bangladesh, Shubhonandan. My advance Ramzan Mubarak to all of them. My congratulations to my Tariq-bhai, his party and all parties for this great victory. Pray, you all stay well and happy.”
In the same post, Mamata also expressed hope that bilateral relations will remain strong.
