He said the government had approved import of gas from Qatar and Oman under long-term contracts as well as import of 12 LNG cargoes from the international spot market to improve the supply situation.
Under this plan, Petrobangla will import one or two cargoes every week till June this year, the chairman said.
“We are hopeful that this import will have a good effect on improving the situation, despite the huge losses,” he said.
