Film stars, cricketers and people who do not hold any position in the party are also lining up to collect nomination forms for the Bangladesh Awami League to contest in the next general elections.

Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, actress Mahiya Mahi, president Mohammad Sahabuddin’s son Mohammad Arshad Adnan, suspended Jubo League Central Committee legal affairs secretary Saeedul Haq Sumon, journalist Naeem Nizam and several others have joined the ruling party to contest in the upcoming 12th parliamentary election. Party nomination forms have been collected. ,

Awami League has started selling nomination forms to candidates willing to contest the 12th general elections. Forms can be received and submitted by Thursday.

AL sources said many film stars are interested in submitting nomination forms for the ruling party in the next two days. Some businessmen who do not hold any position have also expressed their interest in seeking the nomination of the ruling party.

The names of interested film and TV stars who came forward include actors Firdaus, Alamgir, Siddiqur Rehman and actress Apu Biswas. Shakib Al Hasan has the highest chances of getting nomination among the sports stars.
