Danger signal numbers have been asked to be hoisted at all river ports in the coastal areas of the country. 7. All fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been advised to remain sheltered till further notice.

Speaking to Prothom Alo, meteorologist Monowar Hussain said the cyclone is likely to make landfall at the mouth of the Meghna river between Barishal and Chattogram. There is a possibility of very heavy rain and wind.

People in Chittagong Hill Tracts have been asked to proceed with caution and take shelter at safe places as there is a possibility of landslides due to heavy rains in Dhaka, Chattogram, Barishal and Khulna districts.
