Cyclone Mocha: Rickshaw puller dies due to electrocution in CTG

A 38-year-old rickshaw puller, who was electrocuted by a live electric wire struck by heavy winds caused by cyclonic storm Mocha, died at the Chattogram Medical College and Hospital on Sunday.

The deceased Mohd Zahid is a resident of Lalmonirhat district.

Mohammad Akteruzzaman, senior station officer of Bayazid Fire Service and Civil Defence, cited witnesses as saying that at around 9.30 am, a live electric wire suddenly fell on him when he was sitting on his rickshaw during a strong wind at Oxygen Square.
