Cyclone Mocha weakens into a deep depression and crosses coasts

In its latest bulletin, the country’s Meteorological Department said Cyclone Mocha crossed Bangladesh coasts at 6:00 pm on Sunday, entered Myanmar and turned into a deep depression.

As the cyclone weakened, signal numbers were reduced in port cities.

The very severe cyclonic storm ‘MOCHA’ moved north-northeastwards and crossed the coast at 6:00 am today and weakened into a landfall deep depression near Sittwe Myanmar, the bulletin said. It is very likely to move inland and weaken gradually giving rain.
