DCCI urges BB to extend support for Bangabazar fire victims

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) on Sunday requested Bangladesh Bank to extend support for the Bangabazar fire victims, noting that thousands of small and micro businesses in the Bangabazar clothing market lost all their goods and valuables in the devastating fire. Along with this, they have lost their shops, due to which Dhaka has suffered. Full market on 4th April, reports UNB.

As a result, most of the traders and their associate dependents have become helpless and crippled due to taking massive loans to buy stock before Eid.

The chamber body said that in view of the tragedy, it is important to bring these traders under the ambit of financial assistance so that their quick rehabilitation can be done.
