Her lawyer Qaiser Kamal alleged that the application filed for permission to take opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment has been considered politically and not from a legal point of view.
He said this after Law Minister Anisul Haq’s statement to the media today, Sunday.
Earlier, the Law Minister told Prothom Alo that the government has no scope to give legal permission to Khaleda Zia to go abroad for treatment. He said that this opinion has been given by the Law Ministry.
