Mahdi Amin said that the HSC and equivalent examinations are being conducted at 2,697 centers across the country, and photographs and videos from only a handful of centers should not be considered representative of the examination system as a whole.
He warned that the dissemination of false or outdated photographs and videos for propaganda purposes, or to gain political advantage or incite unrest, was contrary to the aspirations of the people.
He expressed confidence that students will remain alert against such attempts.
Mahdi Amin said that constructive and positive criticism is an essential part of democratic values. He said, there will always be differences, but where the broader interests of the country are concerned, there should also be consensus.
He expressed confidence that everyone who truly cares about students must remain united in support of the national interest, because the country belongs to everyone, the education system belongs to everyone, and the students of today will become the leaders of tomorrow. He said that it is a shared responsibility to support and encourage them.
Mahdi Amin said that the present government is committed to govern with an unwavering sense of responsibility towards the students. He said that working under the direction of the Prime Minister, the government respects the aspirations and expectations of the overwhelming majority of the people. It is true that many students faced difficulty in appearing for the examinations during the natural disaster. However, it was equally true that a large number of candidates were able to appear for their examinations without any disruption. While some examination centers faced serious difficulties, most students across the country were not affected by floods, waterlogging or similar difficulties.
