The deep depression over West Central Bay and adjoining areas has moved north-northeastwards into Cyclonic Storm ‘Hamun’ and is now situated over West Central Bay and adjoining North West Bay.
At 6:00 pm today it was centered about 670 km west-southwest of Chattogram Port, 630 km west-southwest of Cox’s Bazar Port, 540 km south-west of Mongla Port and 540 km south-west of Payra Port.
It is likely to move north-northeast and intensify further.
