0 minutes, 25 seconds Read

In 2018, Bangladesh purchased a large quantity of arms from Turkey, including ground surveillance radars, various types of armored vehicles, and a portable jammer. Procurement over the next years includes offshore cranes, armored vehicles, ambulances, missile launching systems, Oerlikon Skyguard radar systems and other weapons.

In addition to arms purchases, at least 3,000 defense officials have received specialized training in Turkey as part of defense cooperation. This year, seven teams of Special Security Forces, Bangladesh Police and Ansar received special training in Turkey between March and December.
