Iran’s warnings came in response to Trump, who gave a press conference in a Florida ballroom to declare war: “This is going to end soon, and if it starts again they will be hit even harder.”
“We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough,” Trump said Monday.
But, in a later post on his social media platforms, Trump warned that if Tehran interfered with oil exports, the US military would bomb the country in a way that “will make it almost impossible for Iran to rebuild as a nation.”
“Death, fire and fury will reign over them – but I hope and pray that will not happen!” He has written.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also predicted that the conflict would continue, expressing hope that the Iranian people would take the opportunity to “throw off the yoke of tyranny”.
He said, “Ultimately, it’s up to them. But there is no doubt that, with the actions taken so far, we are breaking their bones, and we are not done yet.”
