Twelve more people died due to dengue in the last 24 hours till 8 am on Monday, taking the death toll this year to 1,181.
Moreover, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 2475 people – 539 in Dhaka and 1936 in the districts – have been hospitalized due to mosquito-borne viral fever during the 24-hour period.
So far in the current year, a total of 242,089 people have been admitted to hospital suffering from dengue fever.
