The figures from this period also reflect the so-called fast bowler revolution in Bangladesh cricket. Among the seven most successful bowlers of Bangladesh in ODIs, five are fast bowlers. After Taskin, they are Mustafiz (31 wickets in 29 matches), Shorifull (33 wickets in 22 matches), Ebadot (22 wickets in 12 matches) and Hasan Mahmood (21 wickets in 16 matches).
Losing Abadott was a big blow to the team. Ibadot, who was once considered only a Test bowler, is shining with the white ball as well. His strike rate is 24.5 which is even better than Taskin. He was considered the biggest weapon for the Bangladesh attack during the crucial middle overs of ODIs.
But Abadott is not in the team due to his injuries. And now, if Taskin loses its charm, how can Bangladesh mark its “speed revolution”?
