The ACC told the court that it is currently investigating Uttam Kumar, posted in RAB-2, who is accused of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Uttam Kumar did not appear despite being summoned by the ACC. Moreover, he was served a notice to submit details of his assets, but later he withdrew money from his bank account after receiving the notice.
Government lawyer Mahmood Hussain said that Uttam Kumar tried to travel abroad after withdrawing the money, after which the ACC requested to impose a travel ban. The court issued this order after hearing the case.
