Dhaka International Trade Fair begins from January 1, 2011. This is a month long fair.
Live telecasting of fair activities in all divisional headquarters and Export Processing Zones and separate adequate car parking arrangement on Public Works Ministry’s land are among specialties of the DITF-2011.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the DITF as the chief guest on the day.
A total of 10 countries apart from hosting Bangladesh had participated in the last DITF.
This year, countries including Japan, UK, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates would take part in the fair this year.
Participants and Product Selection Sub Committee of the DITF- 2011 with FBCCI has already completed allocation of 300 stalls after scrutiny to intending exhibitors.
Last year, the EPB earned Tk 7.19 crore in profit from last DITF and Tk 2.38 crore from entrance lease and the EPB officials hoped that the earning would be increased substantially from the DITF- 2011.
The DITF is being jointly organised by EPB and Ministry of Commerce since 1995.
